Leah Liang

Leah Liang smallestLeah Liang was born and raised in mainland China and came to Canada on her own in 1999. With a desire to excel in the field of nursing, she started as a care aide, upgraded to a Licensed Practical Nurse, and then continued with her education to become a Registered Nurse in 2011. In November 2015 Leah graduated with a Masters in Nursing from Trinity Western University.

Her passion is to improve the quality of care for patients with life-limiting illnesses.  In particular, she aims to focus on supporting culturally diverse patients with an integrated and comprehensive palliative approach. Her twelve years of experience working as an immigrant in Vancouver’s culturally diverse urban setting gives her a special insight into patients who have a disadvantage in accessing and utilizing health care services due to their language and cultural barriers.
