Richard (Rick) Sawatzky, RN, PhD
Rick Sawatzky's research focuses on the measurement of patient reported outcomes (PRO) and quality of life in various healthcare contexts, including contexts of chronic and life-limiting illness. He has a particular interest in examining the measurement implications of various sources of diversity and difference that influence how individuals interpret and respond to questions about their health status and quality of life. His research includes studies about methodological challenges in PRO measurement, including the examination of response shift and the validation of computerized adaptive tests.
