This day was open to all health care staff. The message of the day reflected the need for more widespread use of the palliative approach to care, and its central aim of helping people live well throughout their life-limiting illness trajectories until death

Objectives:

  • Integrate a palliative approach to chronic diseases
  • Explore how to manage physical symptoms
  • Learn pearls of wisdom from experts

The day-long event was organized by the palliative and the clinical education programs at Vancouver General Hospital and supported by VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, VGH Palliative Care Program, VGH School of Nursing Alumane Building Society/Association In-House Education Fund and the BC Centre for Palliative Care.
